Wendy Luke Bio
From publishing to defense contracting, from art museums to for-profit attractions, and from charities to trade associations, Wendy Luke helps create and sustain healthy organizations. Wendy has mentored and coached CEOs. VPs, and Department Heads while consulting on and implementing long-term solutions to put the right people, in the right jobs, doing the right things. Wendy has run HR departments, done turnarounds for multi-million dollar corporations, and served on numerous management teams. Wendy spent the early years of her career in New York City and has been Washington DC-based for many years. She speaks at national conferences, has served on boards of various educational, for-profit, and non-profits organizations, and consults around the country.
Most recently in the museum field, she worked on the new National Children's Museum and the National Museum of the United States Army, as well as the for-profit International Spy Museum. In the commercial field, she has consulted at Northrup Grumman, Verizon, and a number of small, privately held companies. In the non-profit field recent clients include the American Bar Association, Catholic Charities USA, and Northern Virginia Association of Realtors. In her spare time Wendy pursues pilates and gyrotonic, studies rudimentary piano, and attends performances of the real pros at the Kennedy Center across the street from her office.
